Edgar Davids briefly played for Barcelona in the 2003/04 season. He arrived during the winter transfer window and only played 20 games but offered a great performance for Rijkaard's first season on the bench. The former footballer talked about various Barça players in an interesting interview he gave to Marca and he emphasised on Iniesta and Xavi. Also, he bet on Javier Mascherano signing for Juventus.

Iniesta and Xavi

"Iniesta and Xavi make me crazy. I played with them and against them. In my years of prime, I could stop any player in the world. There wasn't any player that could resist me in any game... except for those 2 cracks. They interpreted perfectly the game of position and possession. With them, it was impossible to see the ball."

Mascherano

"I hope Mascherano comes soon to Juventus. It would be a great signing. He is a great player, I love him."

Busquets

"He is fundamental in Barça's tactics. In football, not everyone can attack, someone has to maintain the balance and Basquets does it."

Barça's season

"I would give it an 8 out of 10. I can't put a higher note because they were knocked out of the Champion's League."

"I was really surprised with the elimination against Atlético. I thought Barça would impose their quality but they had a bad day and they ended up being knocked out."

Guardiola's Barça or Luis Enrique's

"They can't be compared, years have passed and players have changed. Right now, winning a double is extraordinary."

His time at Barça

"I love the city and the team, they will always be in my heart."

Guardiola in the Premier League

"It is positive to know that a coach will come to the Premier League to impose an offensive philosophy. I also say it for Mourinho, Wenger or Conte. Tactically, foreign coaches bring a lot to the English Premier League."
