Nothing can beat Messi. Not the referees, not Athletic Club, not a strange week at Can Barça. The Argentinian didn't win individual awards this season. He may not be 'The Best' in the eyes of those who decide who deserve the awards and who doesn't, but he keeps proving week after week he is the best footballer of the world.

Barcelona is not that team that controls the matches the 90 minutes, but tonight was a very needed victory over Athletic Club. The first one of the year.

Luis Suárez scored his 100th goal with the club and Barcelona improved since then. Neymar gave him the assist and the Uruguayan scored with a perfect volley.

Athletic's manager Ernesto Valverde made a change at half time and put Aduriz on the field. Neymar, who had been more than 1000 minutes without scoring, ended his drought with a penalty and put the 2-0 in the scoreline.

With the first shot on target from the visitors, Saborit turned on the alarms. 2-1. That meant a possible extra time.

However, Messi wasn't in the mood of playing for another half an hour. Once again, he decided. Once again, with a free-kick. Once again, an incredible shot that surprised Gorka Iraizoz. Barcelona is in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals.
