"I hope I could have coincided with Suárez in FC Barcelona; I would have perfectly fit with him"
Cesc Fàbregas analyzed this Saturday's El Clásico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid in an interview at Goal.com. The current Chelsea player does not know if Messi will play at Bernabéu but he hopes he can do it "for soccer's sake... and FC Barcelona."
In addition, the midfielder also regretted that in his time at the Catalan club could not coincide with Luis Suarez, "a striker who would have perfectly fit with my style."
These are his main statements:
Messi at Bernabéu
"I don't know if he will play or not. I hope he does it, for soccer's sake... and Barcelona's."
"It's the best soccer game you can watch nowadays."
"In my time in FC Barcelona I lived many Clásicos, ten or twelve, and I had the chance to score at Bernabéu. We won 80% of them and it was amazing to play them."
"Now I will enjoy the match on TV, as I used to do when I was a child."
"I hope I could have coincided with him in FC Barcelona. Our styles would have perfectly fit."
"Without Messi, he has done a step forward."
Leaving FC Barcelona
"Once you take a decision, you don't have to look back. Many things can happen in soccer and you have to assume what happens in the moment in which happens."
"I haven't missed many Barcelona matches since I left. Maybe some of Copa del Rey, but not many."
