Atlético Madrid's president denied any agreement for the arrival of the forward at Barça
Enrique Cerezo, Atlético Madrid's president, talked from Uruguay about the possibility for Luciano Vietto to leave his club to sign for Barça. "Vietto is an Atlético Madrid player and we haven't decided anything nor have we received an offer from Barça. It doesn't make sens to say he is leaving if we haven't been in touch with them", the president explained. With thoses words, Cerezo made it clear that it won't be easy to bring in the Colchonero.
Vietto was one of the main protagonists in Atlético's pre-season game against Numancia. The president also refuted there were offers from other clubs: "He's not going on loan to Sevilla either. We want him to stay, but we have to see how things evolve." Cerezo didn't shut the door to an exit for the Argentinian player, affirming he doesn't like to hold back players that don't want to stay. However, it is clear the negotiations with Atlético Madrid will be tough to make.
