"25 years together and the ones ahead! A hug Mister! Good luck!" Casillas wrote
The elimination of Spain from the European Championships went with a tough controversy between Vicente Del Bosque and Iker Casillas. In surprising statements, the Spanish head coach criticised the attitude of the goalkeeper with the staff and conceded he was the only footballer to whom he didn't send a goodbye message. Although no one explained what was the concrete conflict, many media suggest that Casillas got upset because he was David De Gea's substitute and he didn't receive explanations for that. Furious, he stopped talking to the staff and worsened the relationships inside the dressing room.
Despite the confilct, both protagnoists seem to have found peace according to a meeting that took place this morning in the City of Football of the Spanish Federation in Las Rozas. The picture was posted on social media by Iker Casillas himself alongside that message: "This morning, in the City of Football. 25 years together and the ones ahead! A hug to you Mister! Good luck!"
With this meeting, the captain and the coach were able to talk about the conflict they have lived in France and could make peace between them, 2 people that have been knowing each other for years, when they met at Real Madrid. Vicente Del Bosque already said he would retire as a coach and it is yet to see what the future holds for Casillas in Spain.
