The president also stated that "Alcácer will make us a better team"
Josep Maria Bartomeu, FC Barcelona's president, gave an interview yesterday to Catalunya Ràdio where he talked about the signings and the upcoming renewals of the most important players of the team.
"We try to make the best squad possible every season".
"We made a bet for young players. The average age of the signings is 22 years".
"The market is open until August 31st, we still have time to sign him. There's nothing official yet but the door is open".
"We tried to extend his contract but he told us that he wanted to leave".
"We didn't sell Bravo to make money, we wanted him to stay".
"Denis Suárez is the perfect example of our policy. To jump to the first team from the B team is really difficult".
"We love Samper and we want him to join the first squad sooner or later".
"Messi is the best player in the world"
"He was very sad this summer because of losing the Copa América, but he is mentally very strong".
"He has contract until 2018. Obviously we'll talk to him soon to extend it".
"There are other renewals that we have to face before Messi's: Luis Suárez and Rakitic are very important players for us."
"Luis Enrique told us that he doesn't want to think about his renewal until the end of the season. We'll talk to him after Christmas".
