A piece in the midfield zone, the big battle this summer
The names appear to substitute the loss of Xavi Hernández in Barça's midfield zone. With the slab cannot incorporate new players this summer, Barça is looking for alternatives.
Pogba, the preferred one
From the first day, the name of Paul Pogba has appeared on all crossings to strengthen Barça's midfield zone. The general manager of his team, Beppe Marotta has said that the player is not transferable and he hasn't asked to leave the club, but all the reports suggest the club's insistence on signing. Thursday, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barça has reached an agreement with Juventus to block the player (a Ariedo Braida negotiation with Marotta) and prevent the transfer to other clubs. Marotta admits only two offers (Barcelona and Manchester City) but also Real Madrid, through Zidane. Today, according to the newspaper, the only obstacle is the desire of Pogba to play the Eurocup this summer, and everything points to that Juventus would be his showcase.
Kondogbia, the alternative
As an alternative to the transfer of Paul Pogba, it has sounded the name of Geoffrey Kondogbia currently in Monaco. Former Sevilla, the French is perhaps more defensive than Pogba but it is an option supported by the first team coach, Luis Enrique, according to the newspaper Sport. Ariedo Braida's negotiations with Monaco know that the price of the midfielder is 30 million, but he have other offers (for Inter and Milan) worth of 28 million euros. In case of closing the deal, Kondogbia would do like Aleix Vidal, and he would be Barça player this summer and will start playing with the club after the winter market.
