This Friday we will discoer the next opponent for Barça: Madrid, Bayern or Juventus

We already know the 4 semifinalists for this season’s Champions League. FC Barcelona’s opponent can be Real Madrid, Juventus or Bayern Munich. Here you have the most interesting data about the three possible rivals.

Real Madrid

Champions

Leaders of Group B in the group stage (Liverpool, Basilea and Ludogorets). They reached quarterfinals with an aggregate result of 5-4 against Schalke and classified for the semifinals thanks to a goal by Chicharito vs Atlético Madrid, the only goal of the qualifying round

Copa

They are the only team that can’t win the three titles, since Atlético Madrid eliminated them in La Copa.

Liga

Second with 76 points, 2 behind Barça.

Injuries

Modric won’t be ready because of his knee injury. Benzema also has discomfort on his knee (although he might be fit to play) and Bale is also injured on his leg.

Lineup

With Modrid out, if Bale and Benzema are recovered, Ancelotti could opt for a 4-3-3 with Casillas as goalkeeper; Carvajal, Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo in the defense; James, Kroos and Isco in the midfield, and Bale, Benzema and Cristiano in the front. We could also see some changes like Ramos in the midfield, a 4-4-2 or Chicharito in the front if the BBC is not 100% ready.

Highlights

They are the team to reach more times the semifinal in the Champions League: 31.

Bayern Munich

Champions

They were leaders of the Group E (City, Rome, CSKA). Both in the round of 16 and quarterfinals they could solve the matches with wide results. They eliminated Shakhtar with a convincing 7-0 in the second leg and could get back in the first leg 3-1 vs Porto with a 6-1 in the second leg. Thiago Alcántara scored the goal in Portugal and the first one of the second match.

Copa

They are classified for the German DFB Pokal semifinals, and they will have to face Borussia Dortmund

Liga

They are leaders of Bundesliga with 73 points, 12 more than the second one, Wolfsburg, so they can put more effort on Champions League.

Lesions

Alaba, Ribéry, Robben, Benatia, Starke and Schweinsteiger are injured, but some of them might be ready in 15 days. On the other hand, Javi Martínez started working with the group. There so much tension with the injury issues that all the medical stuff resigned.

Lineup

Taking into account all the lows, the team could use a 4-4-2 with Neuer; Rafinha, Boateng, Dante and Bernat; two defensive midfielders, Thiago and Alonso, with two more wide midfielders, Lahm and Götze, and in the front, Lewandowski and Müller.

Highlights

They are the team to score more goals. 30 in 10 matches. Barça have scored 23.

Juventus

Champions

They were second in the Group A, just behind Atlético Madrid. They eliminated Borussia Dortmund with an aggregate result 5-1 and Monaco with a 1-0 in the first leg.

Copa

They will play the final against Lazio.

Liga

They will probably play Champions League semifinals having won the Italian championship mathematically. They are leaders with 73 points, 15 more than the second one, Lazio.

Injuries

Pogba has a severe injury on his right leg and won’t be ready for the semifinals.

Lineup

Taking into account the absence of Pogba, they could place a 4-4-2 witih Buffon; Lichstein Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra; Vidal, Marchisio, Pirlo, Pereia; Tévez and Morata.

Highlights

They are the team to concede less goals in the European competition: only 5.
