The coach talked with Barça to replace Tito Vilanova
Zenit from Petersburg's coach André Villas-Boas, recognized he could have been the replacement for Tito Vilanova and that Barça were interested in him. "Everybody knows I had contact with Barça, I won't deny it," he said to an interview to Mundo Deportivo, on Saturday.
Negociations though, did not succeed and finally Tata Martino was the new coach for 2013/14 season. Asked about Barça's future Villas-Boas didn't want to say a thing: "I am now working for Zenit," he said.
At last, the Portuguese coach explained that last years he said 'no' to many teams, like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, where he would have replaced Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti, respectively.
