Victor Valdés hasn't made his debut with Manchester United yet. David de Gea's good moment at the Premier League avoids him to be on the starting line-up, but when they confirmed their signing Luis Van Gaal already stated that former Barça keeper arrived to the English club as second keeper.

What is a little bit surprising is that Valdés hasn't played any FA Cup match. Van Gaal had three chances to place him: twice against Cambridge United (Fourth Division) and a third chance this Monday against Preston North End (Third Division).

The Hollander coach said this week that Valdés has to win the first place with the reserves team: "He will have to prove himself in the reserves before playing for the first team."

"When you are out for more than a year, first of all you have to show yourself at a lower level" Van Gaal added.

Víctor Valdés took a seat again on Manchester United's bench in this Monday FA Cup match against Preston.
