Cospedal Copa del Rey

FC Barcelona and Athletic Club de Bilbao will play Copa del Rey final. It will be the 8th time they meet in this kind of match and they are also the two teams that have won more Copa titles. However, Spanish governors (as well as the Royal Family) don't like these two teams playing the final. Some days ago we told you that supporters of these two teams whistle the anthem because many people in Catalonia and The Basque Country would like to separate from Spain. Now the Spanish government are planning to cancel the match.

"What they do is a lack of respect"

María Dolores de Cospedal, the Secretary-General of the People's Party —which are in the government right now—, said that she would order to evacuate the stadium if people whistle Spanish anthem before the beginning of the match. "If a person doesn't want to go to the final, then let's stay home. And if a team don't want to play the final, they are free not to do so," he added

Some days ago, La Liga president, Javier Tebas, didn't rule out the possibility to cancel the final if the Spanish anthem is whistled. And former president of Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre, said that Barça and Athletic supporters used the final to show his hate to the Spanish people. "What they do is a lack of respect," she said.
