"If it was for me, I would stay here forever. But as I said not long ago, what one likes not always happens. Indeed at football, which is a constant change. It is complicated, and even more at these moments Barça are living nowadays."

The number of interpretations to which these statements lead, can even be sick. On the one hand, Messi's intention to keep playing for Barça -we don't know until when-, on the other hand, there are things that keep annoying the Argentinian and that can determine -if they are not doing so from long time ago- Barça's number 10 faith on Barça.

Still, where are this words leading to? Knowing the history, it looks like there are a lot of opitons that this message goes to the board of directors. Even renewing the contract at mid-May and with the tag of 'best well-paid player in the world,' we all know that the relationship between the player and board is far from living their best moment.

In the same interview to the newspaper 'Olé', Messi guarantees that "since last year I am also criticised, when results are not good... from outside it seems to be easy but it isn't." Even accepting these situations, it's sure that Messi -generally adored by supporters- doesn't like to feel like the focus of attention in the team when things don't work out well.

And in the third place, the team. Nobody doubts that, as Messi says, "we have players to do important things; we need to be calm." A calm which is more difficult to create every time, after almost two seasons where Barça is not so powerful in important matches and where their supremacy is deteriorating -let's be optimistic- match by match.

And if we add that these words come from Manchester, where Messi played, and where he has many 'girlfriends', the situation may adopt a shocking view for the fans. And I suppose it, because we may agree that Messi is the best player in the world for how he plays on the pitch, not for how he speaks in front of the press.

It is understadable to think that Messi won't finish his career in Barça, actually only a few players did. It is easy to think that Barça won't afford the luxury to lose him, being 28, 29 or 30 years old. And as for use, the best solution for the sickness is that (in sporting terms) things work out well. We will need patience so everything is tidy and that everybody goes in the same direction. So much work to do, right?
