The website 'Goal' published the TOP 20 of the richest footballers

Two Barça players, Messi and Neymar, are in the second and third place of the richest footballers in the world, just behind Cristiano. Real Madrid player leads the list for the second year in a row with a wealth of about €210 million, 10 more than Messi.

The list was published by the website Goal, calculating profits earn in the clubs + with the sponsors. Messi is a billing machine and apart from being the best paid, he has the support of many brands like Adidas, EA Sports, Samsung, Lay’s, Pan Bimbo, Gillette, Dolce & Gabbana, Audermars Piguet, Head & Shoulders, Gatorade and Ooredoo. He also has great investments in real estates.

Cristiano renewed for Real Madrid in 2013 earning €18.2 anual million of salary. Last year we had to add important bonus, like the one for having won La Décima Champions League or the Balón d'Or. He bills €25 million more for sponsorship; the most important is Nike, but he has agreement with other brands like Toyota, Herbalife, Emirates, Castrol, Samsung, Soccerade, Emporio Armani, Konami, Banco Espiritu Santo and KFC. The Portuguese also has his own clothes lines, a museum and a nightclub, real estate €30 million worth.

Neymar is in the third place thanks to the familiar business and the contract signed with Barça after coming from Santos in 2013. In the TOP 20 we also find Gerard Piqué (18th, with €58 million) and also former Barça players like Ibrahimovic (4th), Eto'o (7th), Ronaldinho (9th) and Yaya Touré (15th).
