Football fans will have a wonderful time watching the two best froward lines of all the world. But, under posts, two footballers will suffer them. Claudio Bravo and Iker Casillas, two very different goalkeepers in a very different moments. Bravo exploding; Casillas, at the end of the road.
The Chilean player is living a glorious season and he has the numbers to be awarded the Zamora Trophy this season: he received 16 goals in 27 La Liga matches (0,6 goals per match). Casillas, on the other hand, has received almost one goal per match: 22 goals in 24 fixtures.
Claudio Bravo is synonim of composure, certainty. With the Chilean under posts, Barça fan is calmed. Numbers support him and he hasn't received more than three goals in one match, precisely, against Real Madrid. Casillas, on the other hand, doesn't live his best moment, although he is capable of being decisive against Barça.
Skillfull in passes
Barça's player has adapted himself perfectly with Barça's system and he is a guarantee, also, participating in collective game with his feet. He's the goalkeeper in La Liga and he passed right a 82% of the times (last year with Real Sociedad, was of 59%)
Confidence and game are feed bac, and Bravo accomplish them perfectly. He didn't committ any scandalous mistakes. The same can't be said about Casillas, who received 4 goals against Schalke at Champions League, same against Atletico Madrid in La Liga.
Support of fans
The Chilean listened to specators in Camp Nou applauding his name more than once. He is trusted by all Barça supporters, while part of the Real Madrid fans punished Casillas more than once with whistles. Last time, against Levante, after the match against Schalke, in which the keeper listened to whistles from the bench.
Real Madrid's keeper saved more kicks than the Barça player but he also received more shots under the posts. Casillas has an effectiveness saving balls of 72,5% while Bravo has one of 76,5%.
- Casillas: 80 shots received - 58 saves
- Bravo: 68 shots received - 52 saves
