Boateng admitted the interest of Barça in the German magazine 'Sport Bild'
Last summer Barça planned to reform the defense line during the market. Finally Mathieu (irregular performance), Douglas Pereira (who has only played four matches) and Thomas Vermaelen (who hasn't debuted yet) finally came to the club.
But Barça searched for other options; one of them, Jerome Boateng. They asked for him after the World Cup. The current defender of Guardiola's Bayern was part of the German team that became World Champion.
"Nowadays you don't need to go to Barça to win Champions League"
Boateng admitted Barça's interest in the German magazine 'Sport Bild': "It's an honor that a club like Barcelona is interested in you. However, I didn't study the offer." The center-back explained he wants to stay in his current club: "There's no need to leave Bayern to go to Barcelona if you want to win Champions League," he admitted.
Jerome Boateng arrived in Bayern Munich in 2011 and has a contract until 2018: "I'd like to stay here for many years and finish my career here after having won many titles," said Boateng, club with which he has won two Bundesliga, two German Cups, two Champions Leagues and a Club World Cup.
