According to statements at 'France Football', the French has accepted Olympiakos offer
Éric Abidal has decided his future and it's far away from Barcelona. According to statements of the former player published by the magazine 'France Football', Abidal has decided to choose Olympiakos offer instead of Barça's: "The blaugrana club offered me being in charge of their schools around the world, but this would mean travelling a lot. They have elections soon, I have my foundation... and if I accepted, when would I take on it? Besides I have my family and I want to be with them. I don't want a job I have to be working 24 hours a day."
The former Barça player explained Barça had also offered being the link between players and board, but the French considers it a useless job: "Messi knows the president. He doesn't need me to visit him."
Regarding the Greek offer, he explained he will have adaptable schedules and that it doesn't imply exclusivity: "They want me to be in charge of marketing, sponsorship, preseason stage and to be the link between Olympiacos and Barça's Academies. They only ask me to be in Athens four days/month."
Let's remember that this Monday, the former Barça player attended the magazine Panenka Award Cerimony and explained he had not decided his future and that he wasn't in a hurry.
