The Blaugrana has had physical problems and a return flight to Barcelona
Argentine will make their debut in this Copa América Centenario tonight (4:00 a.m.) against Chile. It will be the rematch of last year's final in which the Chilean team won the title in the penalty shootout. There is a big expectation from Argentina to try and win a trophy they haven't won for 23 years.
The main unknown for this debut is to know whether Leo Messi will be starting in the first game or not. Barça's ace was obliged to travel back to Barcelona in the last days to declare in front of the National Court and, moreover, suffers physical pain. In a friendly last week, the forward received a big knock on his back and he hasn't been training at his best level.
In the Argentinian press it is said that Messi should probably be on the bench while he's fully recovering from his injury. The footballer told Mundo Deportivo that he's very eager to win the Copa América, that would be his first trophy with the national team.
Outside the pitch, one of the most commented themes about Messi was the new look he's pulling out. The Argentine chose to grow his beard more than the usual and that makes him look slightly older.
