'El Loco' Bielsa, the first name to appear
Tata Martino surprised everyone last night when he announced that he was leaving Argentina's bench. The manager justified his decision with the blurry times the Argentinian Football Association (AFA) is going through and with the big problems they had to make the list of footballers to play the Olympic Games in the summer. The news surprised Argentina, after Messi announced also that he was leaving the national team after the defeat in Copa América.
Given the circunstances, the AFA was obliged to look for an emergency substitute to take the lead of the Albiceleste and the first names were heard. One of the most surprising ones was that of 'El Loco' Bielsa that was supposed to become Lazio's new manager but hasn't arrived in Italy yet. Bielsa led the national team before but it is yet to see if he would reach an agreement with the Albiceleste's officials.
There are other names that featured in the Argentinian press like Sampaoli, Patón Bauza and Marcelo Gallardo. We will see how the AFA solve this new crisis.
