"Aleix is catalan, I'm not, but everybody made me feel like home"
On Tueday in the Radio program 'Tu diràs' of RAC1, Arda Turan was interviewed and assured he never thought of being loaned out when he could not play for Barça. Still talking in Turkish (although he admitted he talked in Spanish on the pitch), he also explained the great welcome he had in Catalan lands:
"On the pitch I speak Spanish, but out of it I speak Turkish to avoid mistakes."
"After such a long wait, I'm very glad to be able to play. Aleix is catalan, I'm not, but everybody made me feel like home."
"I feel comfortable in the centre of the pitch or up front, but I just want to be useful. I want to be a part of one of the best teams in the history of football."
"In the six months I could not play, I never thought of leaving on loan out of respect for Barça. The club invested a lot of money in my transfer and that means they trust me."
