Turkey's national team won the last one of their preparation games before the start of the Euro 2016 in France. With the Blaugrana Arda Turan in front, the Turks beat Slovenia by the narrowest margin with a Burak Yilmaz goal in the 6th minute.
Arda Turan had played 74 minutes when he was replaced by Nuri Sahin. The team led by Fatih Terim will play their first game of the Euro 2016 on Sunday at 3 p.m. against Ivan Rakitic's Croatia, in a group including Spain and Czech Republic.
In their last friendly, the Turkish national team did not show their best version although they won the game. After the early goal from Yilmaz, heading a free-kick from Çalhanoğlu, Turkey left the ball to their opponent and focused on defending in order against a team of Slovakia that tried to get the draw at all costs. In the second half, the Turkish goalkeeper Babacan made some providential save to keep the advantage on the scoreboard.
