The 22 year-old Portuguese player is one of the young midfielders with most potential on the market
One of the young footballers with the highest price tag on the market is Valencia's midfielder, André Gomes. The Portuguese is playing the Euros with his national team and there are various clubs interested to sign this player very skilled technically, with a good finish and who moves well in the midfield.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus are among the teams that have enquired about him but Valencia are asking for 50 million euros and no one is willing, for now, to pay that amount. As for the player, he is not in a rush either and he prefers to wait for the Euros to end to see if can raise the price a little more.
In that context, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barça are not forgetting about this midfielder and they know the player would like to play at Camp Nou. Gomes likes the Blaugranas' football, he would be thrilled to play with footballers like Messi or Iniesta and would like to stay in La Liga. Robert Fernández has already watched him more than once.
The main problem, however, for André Gomes to sign for Barça is the amount of midfielders the squad already has. Rakitic, Iniesta, Sergi Roberto, Rafinha, Arda Turan and Denis Suárez form a group of 6 players for two positions and there isn't game time for all. The only way there could be to take the current Valencia player in would be to see someone leave (Arda Turan is the only one that could be concerned) or that the Board decide to renounce signing a fourth forward and use Arda, Denis and Rafinha instead.
