The coach will face the 2nd season with the aim to keep being unpredictable but also with pending themes

This Monday Luis Enrique came back to his office in the Joan Gamper Training Center to start his second season in FC Barcelona. The coach will assume the new challenge from a totally different position than 365 days ago. From a novice coach with everything to win, to everything won and a consolidated coach. Many things have changed since July 14, 2014 but the demand is the same in Camp Nou. The team must compete for all the titles with a convincing style made in Barça.

During this first week, in Weloba we will analyze line by line the vicissitudes of every situation and the role every person will take in a demanding season from the beginning, with the two Super Cups to be played. We will start the sectoral analysis in the bench leaded by Luis Enrique again.

Being unpredictable

One of the main goals of Luis Enrique when he arrived was to introduce tactical changes in the team. "We have to be more unpredictable," said the Spaniard. After an experimental stage, we saw the version Luis Enrique wanted in January. A more direct Barcelona without losing possession, a great physical preparation and a high pressure as main defensive resource. No one could stop a team with Leo Messi as an evolved leader thanks to the change of position with Luis Suárez.

With the new season, it would be logical that Luis Enrique thinks in new variations for the team to be "unpredictable" again. In the upcoming preseason matches we might see how the team evolve taking into account that the new signings (Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal) won't be able to play until January 2016.

Rotations

In the beginning of the last season, Luis Enrique did 28 different lineups. Until January, every match was determined for rotations and the debate started. Some said that all the changes prevented to find the good way and that Luis Enrique didn't have clear ideas. Then we saw that rotations were useful for the players to be fresh for the end of the season, where the titles were determined. There was no grave injuries and the physical work was really better than the one by Real Madrid.

We will see how he tackle The Untouchables topic. In the last months of competition, Messi, Neymar and Suárez played every minute and Luis Enrique even had to substitute midfielders for Pedro to play. We will see how Luis Enrique manage this matter and if the three strikers understand that resting is also positive.

Difficult matters

"Only 11 footballers can play." One of the greatest difficulties is to satisfy the whole squad, with more than 20 players. Luis Enrique will have to be smart to motivate the footballers who doesn't play much. Pedro, who is considering leaving this summer, is one of the most obvious cases. We will also see what happens with Bartra, Ter Stegen or Sergi Roberto, players who have complained about not playing. Furthermore, Rafinha's contract ends in 2016 and if he doesn't play, he could find a wayout like his brother Thiago did.

The arrival of players from Barça B could be the solution if the others leave (because the young ones would not complain as much as the consolidated ones if they don't play). Munir, Sandro and Halilovic have started the preseason with the first team and Samper, Gumbau and the goalkeeper José Aurelio Suárez will also reinforce the squad. The staff will have to decide who can play in the first team with regularity and who will have to work hard to be there or even who will have to leave on loan.
