He received the assist by Ronaldinho
Camp Nou didn't know that the 1st of May 2005 would be an historic date for the club. It was in the minute 42 when Samuel Eto'o was subbed-off by Lionel Messi. Number 30 on his back, unkempt long hair and rather discreet. The 17-year-old player, 169 cm tall and from Rosario, Argentine, didn't know that there the love story between the best player in the history of football and FC Barcelona would began on that day.

Three minutes after entering the field, Deco sent a ball to Messi, who made it go down with his chest and left it for Ronaldinho. The magician of Camp Nou at that time placed the ball into the space with a subtle kick for Messi, overcoming Albacete's defense.
The ball bounced and Messi hit it with his left foot. The ball flew above the area, beat the goalkeeper Valbuena and ended in the back of the net. All began here. Up in the back of Ronaldinho, Messi celebrated his first official goal with the first team. A curiosity: minutes before, he had scored a very similar one, but it was disallowed for offside.

Not even the most optimistic person would have predicted that, ten years later, Messi would be Messi. He has become the best player in football history and has raised three Champions League, six Ligas, two Spanish Cups and two Club World Cups with Barcelona. Individually he has won four Golden Balls and become the top scorer in the history of Barça and La Liga. The goal scored on May 1, 2005 against Albacete was the first of the current 403.
From the first one in 2005 to the Panenka goal against Getafe. 403 unforgettable goals... and this continues.
